A Highland Wedding in Gloucestershire

Wedding season is still in full flow, and I was delighted to perform recently in the beautiful Gloucestershire village of Wotton-Under-Edge, where the sound of the pipes echoed through the streets for the wedding of Danielle and Sean.

The day was filled with joy and tradition, and I was honoured to play a central role in welcoming the couple and their guests. The newlyweds made their grand entrance to a rousing selection of Scottish tunes, including Bonnie Dundee, Scotland the Brave, and The Black Bear. Earlier in the day, guests were piped into the wedding breakfast to a medley of well-known Scottish melodies, setting a lively and celebratory atmosphere.

Bagpipes at a wedding bring a sense of occasion unlike any other instrument. Whether it’s a stirring march for the bride’s arrival, gentle tunes during the signing of the register, or uplifting music to lead the newlyweds into the reception, the pipes create unforgettable moments.

As a professional wedding piper based in Hereford, I regularly perform across Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, South Wales, and the West Midlands. Every wedding is unique, and I work closely with couples to choose music that reflects their personality and heritage.

If you are planning your big day and want to add the timeless sound of the bagpipes, please get in touch.  It would be a privilege to help make your wedding day truly memorable.
